Individual Analysis

Who is this for?

Laban Movement Analysis can provide you with information regarding your movement preferences, your use of Space, Weight, Time and Flow, as well as your Body Attitudes. It is a tool to better understanding one’s self and how you use movement to communicate with others and the world.

Movement Analysis is done on an individual basis, either in real time or using videotaped footage of the person in a setting which represents best their natural environment.

This method of movement analysis is tremendously useful for dancers who want to explore their qualitative range of dancing. Videotaped footage of a performance is analyzed in tandem with the dancer, to identify his/her movement preferences, to propose choices, and to help them discover a richer repertoire of movement possibilities.
